There was a live coding demo at EM2007 with Python sending ChucK OSC messages. Can anyone tell me what/where Python OSC module was used? I've gone searching & found some busted links so far. Thanks.

I was having the same question just now. I'd like to fool around with Panda3d (a python toolkit for rapid-prototyping games-oriented graphics) and so it seemed to me that a nice thing to try first would be having panda visualise some of my chucK stuff.

This looks good to me; http://das.nasophon.de/pyliblo/ but it looks like ti's only a Linux thing while I'd like to be compattible with a friend who's on Windows.

Anyone?

Ha! For once my memory beats Google! I just remembered the nice people over at Ixisoftware use Python and OSC. Take a look at this;

http://www.ixi-software.net/content/body_backyard_osc.html

IMHO that would be a excelent canidate, particularly at it has "simple" in it's name :¬).

I blogged about a couple OSC libraries at diagrammes modernes. Specifically:

* pyliblo
* oggpy

Folks are tapping in to Ableton's use of Python, which includes some python for OSC. See the link in the attached thread.
