can the nl3 portamento be configured to be "constant time", similar to the TB-303's slide time?

currently the slide time of the nl3 portamento takes longer or shorter depending on the two notes chosen... I'd very much like the pitch sweep to be the same amount of time whether from c0-d0 or from c0-c5...

if not built in, then is there some hack, or alternate firmware...
thanks.

The NordLead3 can't do this, but there is firmware which could help... The G2 or the Engine. I should prefer the later one, because you'll only need some features of the machine.

The G2 platform has the Midi-In and Midi-Out feature, so there is a connection made to the MidiIn of the Engine using the MidiNote value, which is connected to the Glide module, set in the time you want to use. All steps are the same now. This information is fed into the MidiOut module. If you want you can make the gilde responding to velocity or other controllers, although I always found this sounding a little bit messy...

The Engine can also be used as a FX processor using four AudioIn's and four AudioOut's, one to each Slot of the NL3, If you want.

And it is a HighTech synth too Smile
