I asked Clavia support already. It could be the files on the card or the card itself isn't formatted as a Version 1.06 but as a lower version. Remove the card when booting and insert it again. It should ask if you want to format first...

I also thought UPD meant 'update', but I'm not sure.

No,I am using this card for already a year,so I don't think its not formatted right.

Maybe battery on card is dead?

Thanks.

You'll lose all data, I think...

If you have the right battery in the house, use it, or else you have to buy a new one. (Oh, you mean a new card... Embarassed)Some cards I bought were over ten years old when the battery lost power. Better save your data on the computer first!

Anyway, the synth only flashes the error message when the card is in place or also when the card is removed?

Hello, and big thanks for quick reply.
Well, here is complete explanation of my problem (sorry for bad english) :

1.I started my nord rack this morning,(I haven't got single problem since I purchased it year ago)and after it boots up,after 5-10 seconds I got "UPd" message flashing on screen.

2.I tried to select another preset, and go to performance mode - no problem, but after selection,UPD flashes again on screen.

3.I restarted nord rack (on switch - OFF and then back ON).

4.Same problem occured - after 5-10 seconds screen flashes and I get UPd message.

5.I removed card, and started nord rack without card.No problems - no error message.

6.I put card back on - no problems ! And since then (for 4 hours already) nord rack is on,with card in it,and no problems !

About my card : written on it :

NORD SOUND
SOUND CARD
297 single sounds
100 performances
S-ram 64kb battery backed Memory card

Sound library CARD NR : 1
Nord Lead

My question is : Can I replace BATTERY in this card,or I must buy new card when battery is out.And how to replace this battery?

I purchased nord rack 2 (not 2x) year ago with this card together, but previous owner has it for many years. So,this card is pretty old.

Again, big thanks people.I live in Serbia,so there is not much help about clavia here.

Regards

This card is also in the archives, so you can recover the Programs when needed.

At the small side where the card isn't connected to the pins of the adapter (get it? Smile are two tiny little knops which can be switched. One is a memory protect switch and the other is to open the battery holder. Be careful, it opens very easily and the battery, although rather large, will drop on the floor and will surely roll underneath your mothers heaviest cupboard...

Looks like an old battery to me. Are you able to upload changed Programs to your computer? If not, see
