Maybe this could be turned into a sticky, where we could help out reporting this stuff? Just a thought.

It seems that the desired effect has been made upon the link given. Maybe time to turn the gun on this as well?

Exterminate what? Shocked

Spam?

I imagine we are pretty good at killing the spam, even though we might be away for a few moments.. Laughing

Something far harder to catch are dud postings in the middle of threads. Some will often post say 2-8 offbeat posts in existing threads before they move on to posting the real spam. Viral marketeers will often use this scheme.

That was the point of my last post. Whatever was in need of extermination has now been eliminated. I couldn't see any point in the topic remaining.

The admin team on this forum is VERY responsive to eliminating the garbage! I have always been impressed with all of your abilities at keeping this place neat and tidy. BRAVO! I for one appreciate it.

There is no real need for threads like this, not for the obvious stuff to kill anyway I can assure you it will be seen. Most potential spammers will have been banned already before they had a chance, but sometimes a new member signs up posts the spam and is gone again, and when noone is online to park it away into the spam section or to kill it and it's poster it will be visible for a while, unfortunately.

As Stein said it's harder to find the viral stuff, a thread like this could be useful for reporting that, but up to now mostly people have just replied to the viral message indicating it as such, that works pretty well I think ...
