Need a micro? Look at this! |

I came across this one on CL....this is the cheapest you'll get for one of these and I'd scoop it up myself if I didn't already have one and didn't need to upgrade my digi hardware this year! Any one looking for a micro you better act quick! http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/msg/579596987.html _________________ Apple Mac Pro 3.1 2.88 GHz. Intel Xeon Quad

well laura that's good.....but the nord modular system is really unlike any other as anyone on this board can tell you. Or maybe you think it's the same thing? Micron and Micromodular are two completely different synths.....but I think you got what you needed anyway.
Just the whole concept of dragging modules around on a screen and plugging in virtual cables just always gets my blood going. _________________ Apple Mac Pro 3.1 2.88 GHz. Intel Xeon Quad

Thanks... what I really wanted was something that would add some effects to my simple Yamaha MM6. Kind of what a guitar pedal does to a simple Fender. I believe you can hook the yamaha up to the Alesis and play thru it and get that awesome portamento and stuff like that, plus the Alesis has a really neat phrase capture Latch feature.
The Nord screen program is cool, but I really want to be PLAYING MUSIC more than I want to be in front of a screen, cause I work on a computer all day.
Plus I figured if I am going to be spending $300 I may as well get a real synth with keys.
But what do I know, I'm a beginner, I started playing in November. I hope I'm doing the right thing. _________________ The most important gear is the brain behind the instrument. |

http://mrbook.org/micronizer/
http://www.bizune.com/
http://www.midictrl.com/
The first is freeware, the later two commercial.
An Editor can be very handy to find out what is happening in the synth.
