If you pass a sine wave through a shape Static module set to the 4th mode, then subtract the source sine from the result, you get a sine 3 times the input frequency (see yellow modules).

This patch amplitude modulates the sine*3 with the original sine (level shifted) to get vocal like formants. I have used the shape lfo's cosine bell which gives a sort of resonance/filter frequency sweep effect when the shape is modulated from sine to narrow bell.

Sorry for any confusion, the multiplication factor is 3 not 4 as stated. I have updated the title and text of the original message.
