Hi,

have no klee,
but i was wondering how to use CV output for playing notes if the signal is glided in the sequencer.
Usually, someone will route CV out to a quantiser, itself route to some lag and vco 1V/OCT input.

A quantiser will transform glided segments into 1/12v steps ?

Glide outputs are for everything else (vcf tracking, vca...) ?

The quantizer will break the glide up into steps - it would resemble, I suppose, zipper noise. When you're quanitzing anything, and you don't want that to happen (which would probably be 99.9% of the time), you would want to turn off the glide of the voltage source and apply the glide after the quantizer.

Glide can be applied to whatever you want to...um....glide. Laughing

Cheerios,
Scott

okay ! i see
so the supa-uber-mega-klee to come would have at least a three quantising channels section in it, plus IN and OUT sockets for the three on-board glides.

You can, I suppose, set the Vmax selector for the "1V" setting and tweak each analog programming pot to get 1/12 V outputs. This would give you your chromatic scale but with heavy reliance on your ears to tune. A bit of work. Then set CV glide to whatever you want. I usually take the CV outout then go through a DC mixer to add any octave offset I need.

usually, but not necessarily, since the scaler of the klee will create quantized CVs, as long as the CV potentiometers are at 0% or 100%. this leads to very "musical" patterns.
