Hey, if anyone is interested, I'm teaching a class on Arduino Audio at the NYC Resistor space, on June 18th at 7pm.

I'll be covering software-only sound generation, but then moving onto building simple R/C oscillators and controlling them using digital potentiometers. This allows for easy polyphony while still leaving plenty of CPU cycles free on the Arduino, as well as envelope shaping.

Here's a sample of this type of circuit playing a Steve-Reich like piece, using 6 voice polyphony: Arduino does Piano Phase
