If I remember well whistling the G2 had been discussed either over here or on the code404 list.

This is an attempt to make the G2 whistle. It got some aspects of whistling right I think but in the low frequencies some improvements could be made. Maybe it's just the notes being too long ?

I think the whistles up high sound peferct, however the pitch range goes a little too low I reckon. It kinda ruins the effect when you hear the low whistles. I dunno, maybe I just can't whistle very low Smile

I think you are right about that, maybe indeed it just goes too low (although I always like to try how low I can go, whistle-wise I mean ;-)

This patch is just a small part of a larger setup and for now it will do for me. But when it comes to fine tuning things at a later stage I'll have a look at it again probably.

Currently I am building a set of noodles that will function as 'stations' to be 'received' on a 'radio receiver'. The patches go into one G2 while another will do patch changes and inter-channel noises (the channels G2 is routed through the selector G2 for that purpose). The two G2 will go into a box looking like a radio. The box will have two knobs, one for volume and one for 'tuning'. For this I'll have to use a small MIDI controller, probably I'll build one myself just supporting one rotary thingy for tuning and one potmeter for volume.

As I remember tweaking the radio in the past often something funny and unexpected would pop up. The whistling is meant to be such a funny and unexpected thing.

(I should try 'speech' probably as well, but that's not so easy ... let alone singing ...)

Hehehe, fantastic. I reckon that'd be a very interesting performance to witness. Geez, even one of your noodles is interesting enough.. but 2 G2's throwing noodles at each other? Amazing!

2 G2's would be awesome to play with, I'm still getting blown away by my unexpanded engine!
