Hey Aero,

There are five different 566 VCO samples I made on the "Making Music with the 566 VCO now available" thread:

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-18270-25.html

The samples are on page 2 of the thread, about halfway down the page. I would have replied earlier, but it took me a while to find them! There are also some pictures of the completed board in that same thread. Smile

BTW, I'd love to hear other 566 VCO samples if people have them!

check with Magic Smoke - http://www.bitshifted.com/magsmoke.asp - they did the board run, and may have some. Plus, Tim is a great guy to deal with. If he has 'em you can get 'em!

Phil

edit - and if Tim is out, I MIGHT have a spare that may not use. Still deciding that though....

I've got a couple of boards last day from Tim.

They're super super nice... they even smell good

Hi Guys and Gals,

Sorry I haven't replied earlier. I'm busy at my day job at Tesla AND teaching a couple of online AutoCAD classes AND prepping for the AH Nor Cal show (on the 25th), so I've been a bit swamped lately. Smile

But yes, we do have TH-101 566 VCO boards in stock, and we do order more on a regular basis when we sell out (they're selling pretty well - who woulda thunk that there were that many 566 chips waiting out there). We also carry the 2k tempcos used on that board. If you're feeling lucky and you happen to be at the AH Nor Cal show, we'll be throwing a TH-101 PCB / Tempco / 566 chip package in as one of the raffle prizes. Note that the 566 chip is from my personal stash - we don't stock those at Magic Smoke. We'll also have a Mankato / Tempco / 2164 chip package as a raffle prize. The proceeds go to charity (Moog Foundation, I think), but of course you'll have to be at the show to buy a raffle ticket. Or have someone buy a ticket for you. Might just be easier to buy a board Wink

As far as the boards smelling nice... I guess it must be that clean Northern California air that gets sealed in the package when I mail them out. I have two cats that "help" me by supervising and inspecting packages, but I'm pretty sure they're not responsible for any scents, good or otherwise. Still, thanks Smile

Great! I ordered two. Anyone have a 566 or four they are willing to part with?
