wiring the freq pot to the -VE helped immensely!!! much better than other way listed. it might just be perception, bit it seems like it's also helped even out the levels on the distortion. have not tried the resonance mod yet, but will post results when i get around to it.

Here's mine!

I also wired the frequency pot to -V as documented on Ken's site.

Nice work, kupfer_m, looks great!

Question for you: what kind of rotary switch is that? Looks to be nice and small behind the panel.

Thanks!

The switch is not small at all, it just has a longer shaft so it extends
behind the potentiometers.
It's an old wafer switch that I had lying around.

Some have used this one

Thank you, very helpful!

How do you extend a rotary switch behind the pots? Even on the long shaft versions I've seen, the threads don't go far enough to mount the switch any place other than right against the panel. Would you mind showing a pic of the back of yours?

That mini-rotary switch, however, is awesome! Planning on using it in this design:

So, I just finished mine, did the RTFM-thingy on Ken's website and connected the frequency pot to +VE / -VE and added a 150K restistor in series ... as mention on the website Wink

I also tested the resonance modification and replaced the 33k resistor with a 10k resistor .. sounds fun ...

I still have to do some testing cause I think my build is not as clean as it should be ...... distortion% seems weak ....

@Ken:
I am 40, started soldering about 1 year ago and I don't understand a thing of electronic-circuits .. all stuff I do is because I love modular synths since I'm 14 ... to me building a modular synth is a challenge and a dream becoming true .. without guys like you, Yusynth, fonik, mfos or curetronic I never would have taken this ..
now you know what people you also deal with Wink
btw. even if I don't understand a thing I love your circuits

thanks for providing your schematics and boards ...

..has anyone modded theirs to self oscillate?
is this the 33k > 10k from the post above?

and has anyone conquered the volume drop while adding distortion..

thanks
