This is sort of a cross-post since I posted about it in the ChucK forum, but I thought you'd get a kick out of it also. I've just figured out a way to fill my living room with the psychedelic sounds of ChucK mangling guitar and voice with chorus in feedback.

In 2008 kijjaz wrote a guitar synth that sounded really psychedelic and I saved it for later use. Recently I added a feedback delay line of 250 ms and it got way more trippier than it originally was. I played it in a special jam session on electro-music radio for three listeners and they liked it.

But it was on the headphones and that's restrictive and uncomfortable so I suddenly realized that I could break that software feedback and establish it in hardware. What I'll do is run this special cable I have from the headphones jack of the computer to the RCA input jack of the amplifier. Then a feedback cycle will exist and it will blast out into my living room.

I can't wait until morning so I can try it out. Oh good, sunrise is here. I'll let you know how it goes.

Les

The "air" feedback didn't work because of the ambient noise, so I set the computer up as a pedal and sent it into the guitar amp. Works fine.
