I think the poster photo is simply lovely. As we transition from summer to autumn, we emerge from the forest where we've taken shelter from the heat and the cool crisp air greets us at the forest's edge. As a Floridian, I miss the change of seasons, which is one reason I'm looking forward to EM09!

I read through this whole thread, so pardon me if I'm being dense...

What exactly is this and how exactly does it work? Do musicians just stream their own works of their own choosing for half an hour, taking turns at being DJ's for their own works?

Normally people will stream a live performance direct from their studios. This is done in as many ways as there are performers, but there is usually an improvised element to it, as if it were a gig in a venue. You could of course just play prerecorded material, but it is more exciting to have an element of chance at the very least in the set. The music itself is extremely varied, but the general theme is a balance towards electronically generated sounds behind the notes, be it old school analogue of strictly computer generated music.

It is like a virtual mini-festival where members of the forum play back to back on one stage, the Electro-music radio where there are regular shows every week - check the stickies in this forum.

Live... ok, cool! I'm gonna pass this time (slots may be full and I'm not prepared between now and then) but if this is gonna be a regular thing, I'll aim for next time. Just to have enough time to come up with at least a general score of what I'd do.

Hi All
I have a question..Although all performers were limited to 30 minutes..... For my understanding, that possibly will cause a delay during handing over with the next performers..... The whole show may exceed 12 hours totally...

the stream is switched from one performer to the next by an operator, and only takes a few seconds normally so it's up to the performers to start and finish on time.
