listening to the first track right now.... really digin it, downloading the whole release...I thought you might want to know however that there is a problem with the encoding at 1:16 in cherry blossom. It pops or clips or something...
Anyways terrific stuff...I'll give you a more complete review a bit later....when I listen to the whole thing

Thanks redskull. Electronicbboard pretty much gave it a mediocre rating...
But I myself like it. _________________ Whoah! That sig was old. It's now under construction. |

The concept of a rating is an athema (somebody help me with the word here - I can't even find it in the dictionary) to art. Do not pay any attention to anyone's rating. It's a bogus concept. We could have hit/flop polls here on every post, but it would be counterproductive. _________________ --Howard

Yeah, mosc, it's all about taste. Thank you all for the kind words.
I will be sure to bring my next EP here when it is released.

Great stuff, sounds very melancholic ... You have some great sounds used in your tracks, but on matter, I think there's not enough going on. A bit more interchange and I'd really be into this. _________________ Download my music here! |

'Anathema' is one word. That's why you couldn't find it. _________________ This message was brought to you from Beyond The Grave. |

That it! So the correct excpression is " it's an anathema..."

I think you would say just 'it's anathema'.
'Anathema' is like a substance, rather than an object.

I have often spoken aloud a phrase I heard long ago: "An artist is his or her own worst critic".
Taking that statement to heart has kept my head out of the mired muck that is "asinine opinions of people who didn't do the work required to MAKE the art, but have the balls to complain."
Your art is your own way to adding to the world a part of yourself. Other people can perhaps help you see something you had not thought of before, but never let a "rating" detract from the magnificence that is "your hard artistic work". This goes for us all |

mind you, it is important to listen to what the audience is saying
after all, it is also for them we do this..and if it is not connecting with an audience, then we are only doing half the job _________________ Spiral Recordings |

Hmmm. There's loads of stuff kicking around on my minidisc player I haven't found time to comment on yet. I'll start here.
This EP is okay but far too bleak for my tastes. The sounds are good - I just love the arching, languid synths in Cherry Blossom. The fuzzed up voices are very atmospheric too. Stalker is probably my favourite, but then it has an actual beat - in fact, it's virtually a jungle track. I love the growly synths and it actually seems to develop from beginning to end which the others don't really appear to as much. It is very repetitive though.
The idea of all tracks seems similar-ish - patterns of enormous, punchy kick drums offset by minimal, bleak sounding music. It's well moody, definitely making you feel something, but far too bleak and depressing for me. Also just a bit too repetitive for my taste.
Hope it all goes well! _________________ This message was brought to you from Beyond The Grave. |

Yeah, on jpop.com we were talking about artists settling into their repective 'patterns'. One of my greatest fears with my upcoming EP is that people may think they sound similiar. But yes, I adore big booming Bassdrums. _________________ Whoah! That sig was old. It's now under construction. |
