This wild turkey was out fanning and calling in the back yard this morning. Two females were nearby in the woods. He has been raising quite a racket in the woods during the last week or so.

I'll put this one here.

One of the biggest pain in the ass animals, as well as one of the most loving animals I have ever had, departed Saturday night. Munchkin, who recently began a daily insulin regiment had a stroke late Saturday night and died Saturday morning. He was the biggest brat I have ever encountered. If you told him not to do something (such as bother the ornaments on a christmas tree), he would look right at you, meow, knock the ornament across the room and run away. Every time I played guitar, he would come in and listen. Sometimes quietly sitting beside me, sometimes pawing at me for attention, and other times tearing apart something on the other side of the room so that I would stop playing and get up and he would run and hide. I know I won't miss the occurance of him peeing on everything in the house. What I think I'll miss the most is the way he would come up to me, softly meow for me to pick him up, then when I picked him up he would throw a paw around my shoulder and lick me on the nose.

So long, munchy. I hope they go t plenty of catnip in kitt cat heaven.

my dog Jerry and my cat Ada sometimes fight for the "control" of the couch, sometimes they share it, sometimes they allow humans to sit on it Wink

Around 10 meters from my house there's a Great Spotted Woodpecker family (NO: Flaggspett). I think Junior is just about to start his flying lessons. They're pretty good percussionists, btw Smile

Very nice shot! Very Happy

You can actually relax with a beer and shoot stuff like this from your window or something? Shocked

Yep, that I can. Single malts, cigars, chesterfield furniture or whatever you fancy - all kinds of comforts are compatible with wildlife observations from the living room Mr. Green
Although I went outside to shoot this, to get a slightly better angle.
