I think it is a good thing to have Java enabled on you computer, not just for the electro-music.com chat room.

Still, if you don't want to use the Java client, you can use any IRC chat
program.

Here is the needed info:

    Server: irc.blitzed.org
    Port: 6667
    Channel: #electro

But in my internet options it says that scripting of Java applets is enabled. What else do you have to install/enable?

Java scripting is a sort of a scripting language built into the web browser. For running Java programs you need to install the Java Runtime Environment. See http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

I've never used any Java anything until we started scripting in my Web design course about 3 mths ago. Everythings up and running fine now. Cool

Scot - There are plenty of free irc clients online. do a search and you will find one for your os.
