Hi, I want to build both electric druids VCLFO and ADSR. This is probably a really stupid question, so please excuse it if it is:

How would I used them to produce sound, as I gather neither of the do by themselves. Would I require a VCO and VCA?

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi oscillate_wildly1,

The ADSR and LFO are both control voltage generators--you use them to control some other module that processes an audio signal. They don't really make an audio signal on their own. Usually, the other module is a VCF or VCA that you're feeding the output of a VCO or noise source through. The output of the ADSR or LFO could be used to control the frequency of a VCF or the amplitude (volume) of a VCA.

Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Ole
