I enjoyed performing this set and I hope you enjoy listening.

Lovely! I absolutely loved the slow-moving pad sections. My hearing aids, could not, unfortunately, process certain parts. I ended up hearing static due the the frequency compression they employ. But everything else was fantastic. The nifty percussive passages had me boppin' to the groove, dude. |
Thank you! Here is a little more info about the set:
00:00 - (Aries) improv featuring the MPS
05:00 - (Aries) Mellow pad
10:00 - (Aries) Sine wave processed with CGS Modulo Magic takes the lead (it doesn't sound like a sine wave at all!)
13:30 - (K2600) Spacy music -- no looping or clocking
15:45 - (Aries) The Klee Sequencer
24:00 - (K2600) I developed some "noise" patches for the K2600 that make "circuit bent" kind of sounds.
27:35 - (K2600) This Non-tempered tuning section matches the pitches of bells that Don Slepian brought to the Pocono Skies festival.
30:20 - (Aries) This section features multiple oscillators tuned similarly to the double and triple barrelled flutes from Mayan and Aztec music.
36:20 - (Aries) more fun with the MPS. Incidentally, I modded one of MPS's to accept independent CVs for all three signal paths. The throaty lead voice that appears later is the result of sync'd oscillators.
43:40 - (Aries) Once again, I build a mellow pad then introduce brighter waveforms processed with a swept filter.
50:00 - (K2600) as the Aries loop fades out, I switch to the K2600 to add a coda to the set. I wanted to end the set with a very human, emotional quality so I just sat at the K2600 and improvised. _________________ -- Kevin

Hey everybody, I've been listening to your sets as I can in my down (free) time.
I couldn't catch the show when it was happening (hard to do in the forest).
But not everybody has posted a link to a file, be it mp3, soundcloud, what have you.
If you haven't done so, please share?
I'd like to know what my peers are up to.
You too, Shane.

A lot of folks use the record mode of edcast - it can record what you stream either in wav or mp3. Not sure how that would work on Linux though, maybe from a config file. _________________ Jan

I'm not sure we should assume that everybody wants to post a recording here - even though I personally would love to be able to listen to the ones I missed at the time.

It's currently playing on the main stream,. I heard it before,
but just wanted to say: I really love this one, very well done! |
Thanks, Phobos, I am glad you are enjoying it!
Your post has inspired me to pull my head out of my job for a moment and put on some music. Thanks again! _________________ When the stream is deep
