You are correct. At the time that I made that post, it was 7 countries, however hrastprogrammer is unable to perform after all... so we lost a country there.
22 total yes... however I was calling an "act" a performer. the midi chat jam is a collaboration, which I was differentiating in my mind. However 22 acts sounds fine with me. _________________ ElectroCasa |

if I am not mistaken the countries, without him, are 5 then: UK, USA, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden. _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Yes, unfortunately, some combined private/business issues prevent me from being in my studio on June 19
I could probably stream a recorded material from the other location, but I wanted it to be a live stream ... maybe some other time ... _________________ https://www.hrastprogrammer.com/hrastwood/

I was counting Scotland as the sixth. Maybe that is incorrect. _________________ ElectroCasa |

This touches a bit of a nerve with me. electro-music.com is not about show business - obviously. I don't want to demean show biz professionals, but a performer or act is something generally done to amuse or entertain an audience - success usually evaluated by critical acclaim and revenue generated. If electro-music.com was about this, I wouldn't participate - I've done this before and didn't get much out of it.
I prefer we don't use these business terms for what we do. Lets call ourselves artists or, more accurately, musicians. Specifically electro-musicians.
Again, let me assure you that many acts and performers are also artists. Fine. But there is a difference between making music for a living, and living to make music. _________________ --Howard

No problem Howard.. I had not thought of it that way.
I have only used the term "acts" before because sometimes (usually) we have solo artists/performers but... sometimes we also have groups (duos, trios, or more).
So it was just easier to use one word such as acts in an announcement, which doesnt delineate between how many people are performing, whether it is a solo or group performance.
For example, I thought in the past if I had said there are 22 performers, but if one of those "performers" was a group... then there would be more performers than 22. Thus then someone would inevitably say 25 performers... but I only see 22.
Anyway, that is where I was coming from with that term.
I have no problem with not using it and I see your p.o.v. _________________ ElectroCasa |

Shanester, Noticed there are 2 cancellations...can you squeeze me into the lineup?
No worries if you can't.. "NO" is a perfectly acceptable answer for this latecomer.
