Hi guys,

I just bought a second hand andromeda with all voice intact an in tune, but 2 keyboard problems.
-2 keys(next to each other) are not working.
-Velocity doesn't work at all

I tried a hard reset (softbutton 3 turn on), didn't work
I changed velocity paramaters.......didn't work.

So I took out the keyboard and blew some compressed air at the 2 keys.......didn't work.

Do any of you guys know how to fix this?
Or do I have to replace the keyboard itself?

Thanks.

Ok...next day
Velocity is working after some resets.

the 2 keys are still silent.
I took it apart and cleaned all the rubber contact strips......still not working.

Could it be the diodes on the keyboard pcb?
When I measure the diodes they all seem to give the same value.......do I have to desolder them to be able to measure them properly?

Please anybody?

there are some real good repairtechnicians in the netherlands, just inform on synthforum.nl ( or give me a pb overthere )
the servicemanual is available .
furthermore i cannot give you much help , as i'm not a technician myself
( afcourse it would be nice for all overhere to find the solution to this problem )

I found out wat was wrong.

Two of the carbon pads beneath the key rubber, are not in contact with the acording pcb traces.

So I bought some conductive glue to try to fix that.

I'll post the results of this operation soon.

instead of glueing i'd prefer letting a technician chance the rubbers . not too expensive and more futureproof then glueing ( b.e. how to remove properly in future when neccesary when glued? )
normal aging thing for keyboards, small service thing...
