I don't understand the need for real patch cords, considering that you don't actually need them. Why not just have some buttons, press one for source, then one for destination. Or something to that extent...

I was thinking the same. Buttons with LEDs in them: Points with a connection light up green, press and hold one button and the points connected to it changes to red. Press another button to toggle connection state between the two. This would let you get a handle on your patch, and it would allow for multiple connections to the same point.

@ Tom : did you catch the price?

@ Seraph : perhaps this coffin should be buried in Gear News?
