All,

since I got my copy of Max/MSP (WinXP) I've been working on a semi-total-integration package for both my Virus B and Electribe Er1-mkII.

semi-total-integration?
Yeah, exactly. My goals were:

1. provide access by name to any parameter that is remotely controllable
2. provide feedback by name of any parameter that sends feedback information
3. provide a GUI that gives the user a way of changing these parameters, and which responds to changes made on the machine or elsewhere

With 'by name' I mean the user can send messages that look like this:
"note 60 100 750", "osc keyfollow1 60", "filter cutoff1 20", etc.
When you turn a knob on the machine, the same kind of messages are sent back to the program.

So far so good, especially the Virus project is pretty much completed. PageA and PageB parameters are completely integrated, and it has the ability to receive and parse sysex dumps for single programs.

However, I would like to take this a bit further and do it a bit more professionally (as in quality, not as in commercial). So I was wondering if anyone uses both Max/MSP and one of these machines (any Virus would do, and both the Er1-mkI and -mkII) and is willing to test and build with me on this project.

The MIDI-to-messages and messages-to-MIDI is abstract enough to serve for any MIDI-device, though... so it might be of use for other people.

Let me know!
