newbie req. for direction: audio-ins |
|
|
hi, folks;
pardon my newbieness, please!
i'm attempting to build a patch with this base of functionality:
audio ins (ster)
step seq selectively gates the audio-ins, per step
amp envelope per step
has anyone patched anything like this, that might be shared?
thanks!

Hey!
Are you talking stepfiltering here.. or simply step volume enveloping..?
What do you want to come out in the other end of the patch..? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

step enveloping and/or step-gating.....
(i worked out the step-filtering, thanks).

i'd like a patch that furthers what can be done w/the korg electribe-series' audio-ins, wherein --- basically--- non-rhythmically oriented input signal can be chopped (via gate-thresholds and on/off-per-step ctrls) into clocked/step-sequenceable/quantisable events.
make sense?
not an 'audio-sequencer', per sé, but a sequencer of audio.....
thanks!

Hi Splatt,
Here's a pattern based one.
Look in the pch archive to find more audio ins. |

thanks much, tweak & e80!
example patch #1 was very helpful & instructive, tweak.
it seems that there are some basic modular concepts that i've not quite grasped, yet..... so, i'm working on it, whilst i can.
(i'm also considering posting a request for a ny-region forum-member g2 expert to tutor me, a bit.....)
anyways:
the final result for this patch will be:
a step sequencer,
where each step represents a 'slice' of the incoming audio, each step's volume level is controlled by the step (and, where the step is 'off', the signal is smoothly gated), amp-env for the sequenced output is controlled either globally or per step.
filters, eq, further fx etc are external to the base concept;
that concept i've sussed out.
when i finish a functional version of the patch, i'll upload it, for certain.
now, i'm off to try tweak's most recent (appreciated!) upload.....

You're welcome. Here's is a step seq gater with feedback, pitch shift and delay. For slot D! |

Hi Splatt,
I can't open the pch. Editor says "file format is not supported!" |

thanks, tweak --- like i said, a real beginner's (baby's) patch.
after dl'ing your extseqgatefilterpatch --- which is *much* more like what i'm trying to achieve --- i can clearly see how much i actually need instruction in the function/interfunction of modules.
again, thanks:
i'll proceed in trying to find someone in ny from whom to take some modular lessons.
best,
