Eventide makes some of the best effects units on the market. Here are some links:

Eventide Audio Division

You'll have to register your product with them before you can download OS updates.

The official Eventide forum used to be a Yahoo Group. It still has good information in the files section:

For editing patches on the 4000, 7000 and 8000 series Harmonizers, you can use VSIG on Windows or vSigX on Mac.
VSIG patch editor for Windows
vSigX patch editor for OS X (NOTE: Not supported by Eventide)

Communications with Eventide products involve a lot of sysex strings, so a standard MIDI connection is frustratingly slow. It is better to use the serial port. (NOTE: the RJ45 connector on the back of the bigger Harmonizers is *NOT* an ethernet connection.) I use the Keyspan (Tripp-Lite) USA-19HS USB to serial adapter.

A little known fact (at least for me) is that some of the Harmonizer racks are actually full-blown modulars, with the ability to patch your own algoritms from scratch if you want. You can do this from the front panel or use Vsig mentioned above to create custom patches. OK so it's not a modular in the sense that the Nords are, the focus is obviously more on effects than synthesis but still - there is a damn fine selection of tools available.

Here is a pdf showing what modules you can expect to find in the 2 unit racks, from the DSP 4000 series up (not including the Eclipse):
