Subject description: Trouble booting after repair

Hi guys!

I recently purchased a used Nord Lead 2. Off the get go it needed the headphone and the mono jack replaced. I ordered the parts and recently soldered them onto the circuit board and according to me, everything went along just fine - till I tried booting it up. After having done this repair it won't boot. I have tried turning it on and off nearly 100 times and it booted twice. Before the repair there was no trouble booting. Focused on getting it up and running I disassembled the machine once more, but I haven't been able to locate the problem. I've replaced the fuse, listened to the psu for that little buzzy sound it makes when switched on, and everything seems to be in working condition. I believe to have centered this issue around the ribbon cable going from the main circuit board to the board under the hood, as the machine turned on twice when I connected the cable backwards - not a sustainable solution though, as it did not boot when flicking the switch again afterwards.

So now is the question: what the devil is going on? I've been more than careful when soldering and unsoldering and judging by the eye nothing on the circuit board appears broken. I haven't messed around with the previously mentioned ribbon cable, but maybe a cable like that is more sensitive than it appears.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help!

welcome

I should contact Clavia in Stockholm. You can communicate in your native language with them. But don't wait to long, because they will close the shop for some weeks any time now...
