Hello!

I've had experience in building synth kits (MFOS and the such) over the last year, and I'm looking to do my first mod on my Roland SH-2. I do a lot of experimental work, as well as love a good osc sync. I feel like the SHEER BASS POWER of the SH-2 would really benefit from an osc sync, and a slower LFO would help turn a filter mod into an almost psychedelic phaser type of effect. The rate it modulates now at the lowest setting is almost there, but not quite.

I saw in another forum post someone adding an osc sync to their Korg MS-20
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-15824.html

Since I'm new to how the effects of different diodes/caps/transistors effect the controls of a synth ... would I be adding a similar diode to my SH-2?

Here is the schematics for the SH-2 in the service manual
http://manuals.fdiskc.com/flat/Roland%20SH-2%20Service%20Manual.pdf

What should I be looking for for where to add in the osc sync switch? Also, what part would I be swapping out for the lower LFO rate, and what rating should it be? Do lower ratings equal slower speeds, or vice versa?

Im looking to do the same but have no idea what i'm doing, any pointers or direction would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Boz.
