Hi there,

I am very happy with G2, but now the PitchStick™ goes crazy on me.

I already tried a couple of times to get my broken PitchStick™ fixed. I tried 3 local synth repair shops ( Berlin ) without any luck. The last one told me i had to ask or order the part at Clavia directly because he also didn't had any clue how to get the spare parts.

He said the "torsion strip" is worn out and has to be replaced.

I tried clavia's email form but nobody seems to respond.

Is there any way to get to Clavia and order the PitchStick™ ? Or is there an other way to replace this "torsion strip" ?

Thank you very much!

In need of spare parts or maintenance?
Warranty and maintenance is handled by our distributors, and in some cases by special service centers. Please consult you point of purchase for detailed information.

People usually have better results by contacting their local Clavia distributors:

Your local synth repair shops should have known this Exclamation

Good luck with your repair.

Yep, I just did the same repair myself, getting the part from the Dutch supplier (music service). Isn't cheap (~100 euros incl VAT) but worth it - the clavia pitch stick is too good to miss. Repair isn't difficult. If you don't want to solder on a circuit board, you can connect wires mid-way as I did. Works perfectly. Only thing is the color code of the wires changed, so you have to be careful how to connect...

Thanx everybody!

After three emails in the last 3 months to Clavia the one yesterday finally came through. They where very nice and are trying to fix this with a local distributor. I hope a PitchStick will be sended to me so i can solder myself.

@ varice: first i contacted the local distributor from the site, he put me through to a synth repair shop. In the end the Shop put me back to Clavia, so there is the loop Smile

Keep u Updated on this little story

unfortunately my pitch stick has gone as well... it works sometimes, and when it does it stutters which makes me think that its a short somewhere. If thats the case do i not need to replace the pitch stick itself, or do I? I haven't opened up the unit itself as I am afraid to haha. It is my baby, I JUST got it.

I replaced the stick of my unfortunate G2X unit. I wrote Clavia support and they have been really kind and sent me 2 sticks at a very reasonable price. I have a solder/desolder machine (desolder pistol is a great invention) and I managed to do the job quite easily (I'm not particularly good at soldering). Now the bad news. Firstly it seemed to work but in a few weeks the erratic behavior of the pitch stick was back again and it's still there. As the unit presents other weirdnesses (on buttons) I started thinking the pitch itself could not be the culprit. Crying or Very sad
