Experimenter Board vs Mini-Synth |
|
|
I'm deciding wheter (as a first synth project) to build an Experimenter Board or a Mini-Synth. I expect the project to be later expandable to add more modules. Which project would you choose? |

Hi. Welcome to to electro-music. I can't believe someone didn't answer your post, especially a first post. That's not the way this forum usually works and I'd say the moderators here are slipping a bit, although I understand what it's like to be too busy.
I haven't built either of the projects but I think there is a simple way to determine what might be best for you and it's how you would answer the comments by Ray regarding the Experimenter Board.
Quote: | This is an intermediate to advanced project and I do not recommend it as a first project if you are just getting started in synths or electronics. Only the circuit and some explanation are shown here. A lot of project building, troubleshooting and electronics experience is assumed. Additionally, electronic equipment ownership (scope, meters, etc.) is taken for granted. If you are interested in building this project please read all project information before ordering PC boards to ensure that the information provided is thorough enough for you to complete the project successfully. |
So if you don't have much experience building things, go with the Mini-Synth. If all the documentation for the Experimenter Board makes sense to you, you will probably get more out of it.
Good luck! |

Thank you very much! I understand perfectly the moderators are busy to answer, but thank you for your concern.
I think i will go first for the NOISE TOASTER, and then for one of the two projects. |
