I plan to do some experiments with frequency-shifting. I need sin/cos signals from a single input to do frequency multiplication and one sideband supressing.

J. Haible decribed a DOM filter network with 2x6 stage allpass filters.

In corresponding paper, EN168, B. Hutchins describes an alternativ (and better? solution). It is a State-Variable All-Pass design.
All this allpass filtering networks produces a 90 degree phase difference.

Question:
Why you need two filter strings. Imaging only one filterstring for 90 degree shifting compared to unprocessed input signal?

Any ideas?
Simpler implementation.
PCB?

at the end is EN168 for free.

Hmm .. I made a digital version .. it needed one dome filter as you suggest in your post .. I'm not too sure about what I did as I copied it basically Laughing

that is the one -

I think it would be a good idea do the phaseshift digital and all other stages analog.
Iám an analog man and don´t really understand your digital version of a DOM Filter. Did you already build a hardware realisiation? What processor?
But a closer look at the code teach me it is a complete frequency shifter??

I need a DOM filter for a frequency shifter project.
Now I draw one PCB in EAGLE, same as von JH. It is nearly finsished.

But actually there are all NOS PCB from JH for his Frequencyshifter available.
(You need a TZ-VCO, DOM Filter, Multiplier ... for a FS).
