Probably some of you know this trick but I share for others G2 keyboard users who don't know that. I got this problem a lot of time with Nord keyboard and pitch stick.

"
"Pitch stick is mechanically buffered with some foam (visible on one photo) which can be fully reversed. The reason is that the Pitch Stick of every G2 keyboard vibrates still a bit when suddenly released and thus generates small amounts of pitch data. The foam stops this.

Why, I always appreciated the vibrating pitch stick on Nord products. It's always been my backup on gigs. If the electricity goes out or the sound engine dies for whatever reason, at least there still is something on the instrument that will produce sound. Laughing

with practice we can simulate some kind of sawtooth ! boooiiiiinnggggg!!!!

Normaly I never release the pitch stick too fast. I hate to hear this noise from the pitch stick. But I can get the same problem described in my 1st post when I play with the modwheel or when the G2 get too much vibration.

Well, it made me realize why Clavia never released those physical modelling modules they officially announced and presented at Messe eons ago. Totally unnecessary. The G2 always had physical modelling on board. Real physical modelling, like, it wasn't even modeled. Boing, indeed. Laughing

It's remind me a funny story about pitch stick > physical modeling :

Me and Lfohead share G2 patches and sounds sometime. Then one day he sent me a .wav file. I asked him what is it ?
He respond me : "This is G2!"
But I did not recognize the sound characteristics of the G2. The sound was so natural. I asked him again : Is it realy G2 sound ? How did you do this ?
He answered me : I recorded the pitch stick sound with a microphone Smile
