Hi

I've been using the simple LFO from this thread
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-31166.html

Works great! I've used the squarewave out as a clock for a sequencer so that it is in sync with the sequence.

I wondered if there is a way to tailor the circuit to accept an external square wave source as an input to it, and subsequently convert the external square wave to a triangle/sine wave?

This would then let me have an LFO that is in sync with different multiples/divisions of the clock speed.

My guess is that it'd be impossible because the whole circuit feeds back around on itself Crying or Very sad

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Chris

if you want an LFO-like module that can be synced to another LFO you would Need something like an VCS, DUSG or any of it re-incarantion or any Kind of an slope-generator that can be voltage controlled.

if you would ass a sync Input to your LFO, this would work but your Output would be reset by the first LFO and your synced LFO Output would swing with the first LFO, so you wouldn't have constant and same Looking waveform of it's Output...

For syncing this LFO you could use a FET shorting the Timing cap (which is the 100nF cap marked freq.range)… i'm no expert so i don't know if this would work for single supply, but here is a schematic of what i was referring too:

and here's the complete thread for this:

oh wait, i see in the original Topic that it's obviously running on a dual supply … this +5V confused me a bit…

Assuming you have already a quad opamp used you would have one spare left that you could use…

Maybe try that out on breadboard first…

hope that helped you a Little bit further
