Hi EM friends!

I am new to this forum and what brought me here was Google search for Vangelis like sounds! but unfortunately the sounds were made for Nord Lead Synths and not to the original Vangelis Synth CS80!
Anyway, does anybody have any Vangelis like Brass sound for the CS80?

Thank you Smile

I owned the Yamaha CS80 years ago. I posted some scans of brass patches for it.. patch sheets.. on the net way back in 94. Since then I have lost the files, but I once saw some of these on a german site.. copyrighted by the site owner.. Shocked .

I have the Arturia softsynth clone, but I haven´t yet made any brass sounds. However, aren´t there some presets that are close to Vangelis sounds ( as used on the Odes album ) ? If you own the CS80 hardware synth I imagine you can open the Arturia demo and translate the settings to the CS 80?

With the Reaktor 5 I made that famous Hawai Guitar sound of the CS80, thus the horns must be possible too.

ok Rene,

I have been checking the web and found that Vangelis used another keyboard for the horn, it was a old roland synth, but anyway thank you for your post.
regards
