Are you mixing In The 828Mk2 Box?
I just *introduced* a patchbay in order to have indirection
both in and out of the 828MKII and mix Outside of the Box,
which to me sounds better than the in-the-box 828.

I am fairly sure Howard does his mixing ITB but using his DAW for internal summing, and he is not actually mixing much outside of the DAW.
You are doing all the major summing in the analog domain? DACs to analog summing devices? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Just set it up-- two 828MK2's (total of 16 channel outs)
into a Rane SM-82 line mixer for the summing and the
effects loop for external effects. Trouble I'm running into
is trying to utilize the OS X Core Audio capability of creating
an Aggregate Device out of the 2 828's so that it can be
treated as one interface from the software's point of view.
I can create the device but it only shows half the number
of I/O as I expect.
