These are very nice. I see you have done some image processing here too. Which camera did you use?
I like the processing.

Camera is a brandless 5 mega pixel thingy, well Lifetec, that's brandless enough to me :-) The camera really sucks in the sense that it took me months to learn how to bypass the automaton, well it can't be actually turned off, but it can be fooled, a bit.

But it was not really expensive, bought it from Aldi, with a decent flash card, recharable batteries and a loader and everything for about 200 Euro. I'd prefer a real camera of course, but not for the prices those still go for.

I've been experimenting with processing a bit, it all boils down to doing some filtering that happens to be in this paticular old version of Photo Impact I have (it came along with the Delphi 5 programming suite I think), then overlaying the filtered stuff over the original image and making it transparent. Any photo image processor that can do semi transparent overlays would do I guess.

A while ago I discovered that when I inverted the original image in color, overlaid it onto the original and shifted it a few pixels I'd get a sort of embossment effect but depending on the transparency set I'd be left with not all the color removed. Later I combined this with other effects, and still later I decided to remove most of the color - which worked out pretty well I thought on the images posted.

And no Tom, it's not Christ, it's Timon jumping on a trampoline, The image was a bit vague (due to movement) so I had to use a trick here & inverted him, color wise & some more effects probably.

Very nice, Jan. I really love the first one and last one. The grain produces a nice atmosphere. The last one makes me think. I like the featureless soldier in the foreground which appears to be modern.

Thanks juli,

I'm honoured that your first post here says such words as it does. and I'm really glad you like those pics.

All is well, thanks, and I love you to :-)

(Would have loved to attend your recent Theremin playing - any video or audio availble for that, by any chance ?)

Dear Jan,

Howard says that some of the planetarium concert was posted. I played for that. Also recently I had a great time playing theremin with Kip Rosser, the consummate musician. I highly recommend his recordings!
love
juli
