These are fun to listen to. I like the way they seem to center on a note while doing interesting variations around it.

Or more to the point, how are you creating these images? (They're very nice!)

Pictures maked in UltraFractal www.ultrafractal.com or other free program ( Fractal-Studio or Fractal-Extreme )

Sound algo is only approximately but working like fractal ( grafic pattern = sound pattern )

This is make great symetry. ( mathematicaly self-similarity )

Thanks for the info Very Happy

My Father is a Reader of Topology at Sussex University. We once visited a Maths institute in the Black Forest in Germany (I went for the ride and the cheap German beer Smile ), but on the walls were all these beautiful Mandelbrot sets/ Julia set framed images. But this was in the early 80's and the images had to be produced on a mainframe computer. Quite remarkable for the time, because the computations took weeks to produce! Oh how times have changed! Very Happy

Megerov,

This algorithmic composition interests me greatly but unfortunately I didn't spend long enough studying maths to understand the fundamentals of what is happening, do you know of any relatively easy to understand websites that I may learn from?

I have had a look but a lot of it seems to be pages written by maths students for maths students.

Thank you either way.

R.
