I thought it was just a lay out case. When you are quoting yourself, 'Edit' is the first button on the right, where normal (other messages) 'Quote' is positioned.

not sure what happened to that last post,
Here is a mono unison version, the manual says 2 and 4 voices are used for poly and mono unison respectively. I agree that the poly unison could be handled with just a two slot prf, nl2g2 could take care of the pan and detune automatically.
Although if the LFO's are in mono mode, then there would be no need to duplicate them or the envelopes and mixers, save some dsp overall. I'll try to do a poly-unison version as well.
Edit: Here is the poly-unison, it wont get more voices but the small saving in dsp will allow for more stuff to be loaded into other slots.

Yes.
It is that kind of sound one seldom programs on a NordLead, but it is possible.

This is also a single NordLead2
Using the Arpeggiator and LFO1 (bass drum), Filter on HighResonance and Morphing using the Wheel this little sequence shows what the NL2 can do, sometimes. At the end the Distortion is shut off.

I'm still busy to make the measurements
Just one module to go.
Had a special lecture by Rob Hordijk 'why' those values are so different in each synth and by different manufactories...
And why computers aren't that stable as we think (1/8 note at 120 BPM isn't always 125 ms) and what the sample rate has to do with it.
AFAI(K) and Rob knows the sample rate of the NL2 at once side and the NM Classic and the NM G2 at the other are different (44.1 - 96)

I just realized there are already a lot of NordLead emulations in the Archive. Just search for:
NordLead_Emulation_by_Martinez_Ken
and
Nord_Lead_Emulation_by_Clavia
The first one is the 'leave none used modules out' and the second one is rather poor.
What I'm searching for is a structure like the NordLead2(X), so all the possibilities are there in the emulation on the G2 platform, not just sounds...

where do y'all stand w/ the conversion? i agree w/ Wout: the point is to mimic the functionality of the Nord Lead 2X & the sounds.
on that point: i don't remember who posted above saying they played w/ a Nord Lead 2X & found it similar in character to a Nord Modular G2X - do you mean that they are both analog synthesizer emulations? because that's about where the similarity ends.
i've now had my G2X for about 2 months & it does not even BEGIN to compare to the Nord Lead 2X in terms of bad ass-ness, girth & edge. & (drum roll) THE PRESETS IN THE 2X ARE FREAKING AWESOME! almost every sound in that instrument is instantly inspirational.
the same can not at ALL be said of the the presets in the G2X, which are kind of like a limp noodle by comparison - which is the whole point of this excersize.
screw it - i am getting a 2X. i'll just live w/ the crap keyboard, or get the rack.
anyone want to buy a barely used G2X? |

What ever you do, I'm sure you will make the right decision.
