inspired by red chair

I'm patching a synth that's a take on this little wooden chair. The chair has a glossy red seat, and I want the mod wheel to shift the sound as if the chair was being tilted in the light.

Does anybody have suggestions on synth techniques that have a tilty, glossy sound?

i fiddled with the mod wheel a bit. now variation 8 sounds vaguely like something from Taylor Deupree's Northern. still got a way's to go. . .

The patch sounds pretty glossy to me as it is. Nice little chair BTW.
