I needed this, so I built it ...Laughing

Contrary to the prevalent methods, this is sample-accurate, has zero latency and clocks at full 96kHz. It delivers the exact amplitude difference from sample to sample.

(You can make a controlrate-version too by disconnecting the feedbacked logic inverter and connecting it back again. Everything should turn blue.)

cheers,t

Sorry for asking, Tim, but... what is this for? Embarassed

What are the most common uses for something like this?

Detecting instant changes in a signal @ 96kHz. It's a low level thing. Wink I needed it for stuff I'm still working on. Sorry if it is too boring. Embarassed

cheers,

No, it's not boring, it's cool! I just didn't know. Your circuits are very complex to me, I'm still in the "filtering saws" learning stage Smile

I dont know if this works on my 1.40 maschine... what is it supposed to do?

Is it possible that something similar like in the 128 bit ram prevents it from working correctly on os 1.4?

It was patched on OS1.40 and works fine on my machine.

It outputs the difference between 2 consecutive samples at full audiorate. Eg., if you feed it with a triangle oscillator, you get a square wave, whose amplitude is related to the triangle oscillator pitch (as the flanks are steeper at higher pitch and thus the differences between the samples are higher).

It's a typical low-level circuit. Application example: You can use it in conjunction with a compare module set to 0, in order to sample-accurately detect signal changes.
