Hi Everyone,

Here is my first perf, some guys help me a lot to do that,
It's all about sequencers notes. I'm tweaking drums into g2.

There is 16 sequencers in the slot A, at the end of these i would like to go directly in the slot b, then c, and d. How can in do this ?

I read about the NoteSend or ControlSend module and
NoteRcv or Control Rcv . Maybe that "midi" solution optimize the slots and eat less ressource Razz ? Would be great ...

I think there is an easier way to do this, i need some suggestions of fellow patchers here.

Oh, and the G2, my first synth, is A COMPLETE F...... MACHINE, it's HUUUGE !!!!!!!!!!!

Another way to do it is by using audio busses (on the in/out modules) ... but you only have four of those, the MIDI option would be more efficient and you can have more signals to go from one slot to another then as well.

Bluehell is right here. Go for the midi option. Midi note/control outs in your sequencer patch. Midi note/control receive in the listening slots. You can use as many as your dsp-load allows. For some example go here:
http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-79.html
These are controllers for other instruments, but instead those you can use your listening slots.

Hej,

Thank for replying ! You Dutch people are great.

Some guy patched me a perf. with use of audio busses.
The slot a is the bass drum
the b is the snare
the c the tom.

It was nearly perfect, but this patch detunes all the note sequencers.
Nearly perfect, because i had many ressources in all the slots to make my structures of the song and sound synthesis. And there is also the fx area.

My question is : Is there a way to use audio bus by not detunig notes ?

I need again a little help Embarassed , when i will solve this structure problem, i would be on my own to make sound. There is many tutorials to do that.

What do you mean by detune? I see no reason for it being detuned.

Do you want to add them or one after the other and why this last one? You can use a clocked step sequencer or if you want to scroll in those 16 steps, you can use a Control Sequencer.

Hej Roland,

Yes, i would like to play one after the other.
And i'm already using a ctrl sequencer. but there is only 8 steps for now i'm using.

Now i'm at the end of my 8 multiplexer input and 8 "8counter" output.
I don't really know how to "chain" this.

For example, after the end of my first multiplexer, i would like an other goes directly and so on. For now i've only 8 sequencers and i need at least 24 or more to play a whole song.
Anyone knows how i can chain these damn sequencers ? Smile

Something with switches or cross-faders Smile

An example of chaining multiple sequencer modules is provided in the G2 Editor Help for the sequencer modules under the title “Sequencing examples; Serial Connection 1”.

You should also check out the G2 factory preset perf “RedMonday_DZ”, which has chained (serial) sequencers along with a Variation sequencer to expand the sequencing possibilities… Cool

Do you mean that a switch module could "stop" the last (8)output of the 8 counter and then (or an other module for that) go to the next 8 counter ?

Not stop multiplexer 1 but switch to the second, otherwise the output value of the first is added to the 2nd. But for more steps you can easily chain the sequencer module.

My sequencers are chained with 8 counter and Multiplexer and i would like they stay like that because of a trick with a tom ( a part of the drum)

At each hit of the tom, it changes two sequencers at a time ....
The sequencers go into the 8 counter and two 8mux until the last Output of these modules. So i'm pretty sure that i can chain twice with a switch module.

If i chain sequencers the manual or editor help says, it will become much more random. And because of the "trick" tom, who organize so well my song, i don't want change for now. Maybe i'm wrong.
