Tim posted a 'wavescanner' technique recently, that uses the Ctrl Seq as a wavetable / lookup table. Because of it's nice interpolation (xfade) feature, this works very smoothly. I just realized that it also makes a nice customizable waveshaper, usable both for osc shaping as well as audio-in purposes. Strictly, this is a copy of Tim's technique, but I think the application is somewhat different.

I am at work now, so I didn't test my patch that is posted below, but I assume it should work. I (tried to) set the patch in a neutral (non-distorting) way with the current linear Ctrl Seq programmed values & 100% Xfade. Only when you alter this straight line, a waveshaping effect will occur. I hope to test this with some guitarsounds at home.

I split the audio-in signal in positive and negative parts (I hope), and send both parts to separate Ctrl Seq's to enable asymmetrical waveshaping.

This patch isn't guaranteed to work. Feel free to modify it / enhance it or post waveshaping curves that give interesting results.
