1:When I have keyboard split on, aftertouch is being sent to slots it shouldn't be? How can I keep this from happening?

2: How can I synch aftertouch to say 1/4th, 1/8th, 1/16th, etc on a delay? I'm not a skilled enough keyboard player to make the aftertouch land on each of these, and I'm not a skilled enough G2 programmer to make it happen.

Aftertouch is sort of a global thing. There is only one aftertouch on the keyboard, just like there is only one pitch stick and one mod wheel. So, if you use aftertouch on different slots, you're going to get the same signal. I don't know of any way around this, unless you logically gate the aftertouch though a note-on gate. Maybe there is another method.

I'm not sure about synching aftertouch. Maybe you could run the aftertouch signal though a sample and hold module and then gate it with the appropriate division of the clock as you want.

Would you please add your location to your profile. It's nice to see where people are from. Thanks...

Hi there.

As Howard said, Aftertouch is global per MIDI channel, but if you adjust the patch that you don't want aftertouch to affect, then you should be ok. That wasn't very clear was it?

Basically, if you remove the element(s) in the patch that read aftertouch (Morph group 4 for instance), then it won't respond to the aftertouch even though it is present. Was that any clearer?

For the second question, what are you trying to achieve? You can probably use a Device module (IN/OUT) to get the aftertouch input, connect it to a Switch module that is controlled by a Clock module, which will then only pass on the signal on the set clock divisions.

... I've just made a quick example for you... easier than explaining. I have patched the aftertouch to pitch. Change the beats count on the ClkGen1 module or the Divider to get different clock settings.

I hope it helps.
