Those famous five notes: GAFFC from the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind form the basis of this fun and interesting looped song created in the ChucK music programming language. Listen with headphones to hear the scout ship zooming around in your head as the sound gets all mixed up together in loopy bliss.

This is my first song in a while and I am happy with how it turned out. Your comments are welcome. You are free to do whatever you like with this audio or with the ChucK program, both attached below.

That was pretty cool!

So, once you have an idea like this, how long does it take to code it in CHucK?

The coding is usually a few house, though i often end up spending several hours on it just tweaking it around and stuff. This one took three days off and on of spare time. Sometimes you need breaks - you know, the typical creative process.

I just noticed that I got one of the notes wrong, the final note is one octave off, but meh, that is just what happened. It's ok anyway. Easy fix, just one number in one place at the beginning of the file. maybe i'll fix and re-record some day.

Thanks DES, see ya.
