Trumpets
This
page will be very short. The reason is
that we’ve already done more than 90% of the work required to make a
trumpet. The reason is that a trumpet is
nothing more than a baritone that’s tuned exactly one octave higher.
Converting
a baritone to a trumpet requires only these steps:
- Start the first SeqCtr at E3 instead of E2. This involves changing the constant
module from +24 to +12.
- Shorten all the delay lines by 50%. This involves raising them up by one
octave each, and adjusting the fine-tuning constants if required.
- Re-EQ the bell by raising the cutoff frequencies
of the lowpass and highpass filters.

French horns
A
French horn has four valves, not three.
It can be modeled by extending the techniques we’ve already used, but
we’ll not bother. We’ll just make a
reasonable-sounding French horn by adjusting the final EQ.
