Hi all,
I'm just getting to grips with putting my MPS together (just buying components now).
After searching around on the forums, my plan was to use Bugbrand's wiring diagram. But the front panel design I was interested is pictured below.

I've just noticed that the number of 1/4 inch inputs differs, are the 'inserts' here related to CV? If so does this set-up offer more CV control?

I guess what im asking is: am I missing out on anything if I go with Bugbrands wiring set-up?

Thanks any help would be much appreciated Smile

Ah, I found the answer (sorry im a total noob)

Quote:
Thomas included the option of a "Send/Receive" style pair of jacks for each partial before they hit the mixer. Bug didn't include them, he just wired straight through.

So am I right in thinking the only CV control you really need is ShellCV? ( which I assume is the one labelled PitchCV in the picture)

thanks

Yes.

Not sure how the one you show is wired, I'm guessing those must be stereo jacks, because there is an out and then an in on the original schematics. The idea being you could add external effects on a per section basis, maybe you want to phase the noise alone, for example.
