Room inside the G1 for a USB MIDI interface ?

Hi, I'm waiting for a G1 to arrive and was wondering : is it doable to DYI and internal USB Midi interface inside the G1 ?
My thoughts were to get a cheap Midisport, drill a hole for the USB connection, and hook up to the MIDI DIN of the G1.
Has it been done already ?

Thanks. The picture have disappeared indeed, but I dropped a mail to the author (who happens to be the manufacturer of the wonderful Touellskouarn eurorack modules).
