Hell0,

I really liked Hoshigoshi et al.'s G2 808 emulation. I had tried several years ago to emulate the cymbal and snare but never met success. I see in the patch the cymbal emulation benefits from a diode clipper, while the snare benefits from using overdrive saturation on the noise component of the snare. The small details make a bit difference!
I was running out of processing resources so cheated with the conga/toms: they are mapped onto a single voice that changes pitch accordingly to a key advanced step sequencer.
It all is mapped from C2 - B2. No resources were left for rim, cowbell, shaker. It includes: kick (808 and 909), snare, a simplified clap (the G2 clap is glorious, this is passable), CH, OH, Cymbal (sharing a 6 oscillator shimmer generator), Conga/Tom (a single key advances a step sequencer for semi-random pitches). The tom conga has a metallic modulator that you can adjust on the computer or in patch edit to get a bit closer to a cowbell.

A Nord G1 expanded would be able to hold the entire 808 model.

To my ears, the G2 patch sounds slightly better than the G1 equivalent. But there is still plenty to like on the G1 patch. I'm learning that small things matter with these models. As the G2 patch showed me, places were I was stuck previously can sometimes be modeled with something somewhat counterintuitive that may takes a sound from passable to quite excellent.

I plan on uploading some more of my G1 patches. Let me know if any of these are useful for not, or if I should simply NOT post G1 patches anymore.

 Description:
This is an adaptation of Hoshigoshi et al. 808 emulation for the Nord G2. I had to simplify so that it fit into the constraints of a non-expanded G1. I think this patch would benefit from an external midi controller. I mapped all 16 controllers to key par
