It is good to see your enthusiasm for the vocoder phenomenon but also I'm getting signals of people finding it a bit much.
For a solution I strongly suggest that from now on, when you do want to post a new vocoder link, you just edit the post above this one to add the link to it. I mean ... it seems the best of both worlds, people being upset by the amount of links would not see the subject pop up anymore and all the links would still be present for those interested in the subject. _________________ Jan

Thanks!
Maybe this should be moved out of Schmooze to http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-103.html and then it could be a sticky post I guess ... having all thinkable vocoder links. Good idea? _________________ Jan

maybe just me, but I am really happy to see Robovoice exhibit his passion for all things vocoder. Plus I think it is good for electro-music to have such individuals as members.
Such devotion should be encouraged -
how about a vocoder sub-forum in 'instruments and equipment'?
after all, there are subforums for theremins and sequencers, surely vocoders are equally valid. |

I MOST DEFINITELY support both 'Blue Hell's' and 'andrewF's' ideas!!! _________________ Roland SVC-350 Vocoder

I like the idea as well! As overly used as some feel that vocoders have been, when I come back to doing 'vocals' for tunes in the very new future, I've been mostly thinking of ONLY using a vocoder for them.
(I've LOVED vocoders for years and years. I haven't tried the one in my Alesis Micron yet. If I like it though, then IT will mostly, be my 'voice'. ) |
