The rest Slot C is functional?
It changes the Program scrolling the memory?
[Shift+OctUp] dumps one works?

Are you saving in Program mode or in Performance mode?
If the synth is in Performance mode, is the Patch in a real memory location or is it a factory Patch saved in the OS and indicates a location of a not inserted PCMCIA card?

It doesn't looks like the buttons are broken, because A, B and D work...

Just check if Slot C isn't receiving any Midi data.

If you can't find anything, it could be the OS itself...
It has to be replaced, so contact your distributor.
Clavia still delivers the OS, only you have to send in the chip...

Or you have to live with this...

After 16 years!
W.T. has found a bug.
Not a very big one, but it is a real bug!

When saving in Performance mode Slot C and pressing and holding the Slot button and after that pressing Store, the 'Program number' doesn't flash, which means saving is interupted. This is different in Slot A, B and D: the 'Program number' will flash and only interupted when the Slot button is hit for a second time.
To save only the Program in Slot C just press all four buttons > one will only be lit and activate only Slot C. Just press Store and scroll to any location, Program Bank or Performance Bank and it will be saved there.
Only the LCD-Slot C Store combination has the bug. It can be very confusing, mostly because extracting from and saving in a Performance is a complicated thing. One has to be focused on the procedure to avoid mistakes, which is hard being busy making music...

Just take note the 'Program numbers' in Performance mode are NOT real memory locations, but only a relic of the location where the Program was orginal saved after its creation in the synth where it was made the first time. This location number is stored in the Performance. Program memory banks and Performance banks are seperate, thanks Clavia, so changing something in a Performance isn't destructive in the Program banks.
Scrolling a Performance Bank can deliver 'Program numbers' of locations which aren't there, like a number of a PCMCIA card location without a card inserted...

To make it more confusing, when a memory location in a Performance reads, e.g. [41], you aren't using the Program banks at all, but when scrolling to [42] the synth opens the real Program bank memory location [42]... And this is a very handy feature to use on stage!

Is there somebody who still understands this?

Smile

Wout
