Hello,

I have a module from russian electronic organs "elektronika em-14", I think it's a waveform generator, or oscillator. But I'm not sure. Can you suggest me how to identify what kind of module is that, ant where to start searching for right pins to make it work. If I could find the place of power supply, it should work or not, then I only need to find waveform outputs and CV in...

few low resolution pics:

I think it will be impossible to help you unless you take much sharper high-resolution pics in better light.

So here's two modules. Smaller squere one I think is a filter or smth, and I think power supply must be connected to white/black/red wires. And the other one "oscilator.." i hope...

it might be worth trying to identify some of the chips and finding a pinout for them, that way you might be able to find the power rails. also could be worth checking the orientation of some of the electrolytic caps and working out the rails from there. certainly looks oldschool and possibly in need of a little resoldering (a few dodgy looking holes there). other than those basic ideas, i couldnt even begin to guess where to start. hope you find something useful on it.

A quick search on the chip numbers leads me to think the three center chips on the second board could be a DAC's and ROM's for a digital oscillator. Definitely not positive though. It' is still very hard to read the other chip numbers on the second board, though the 2nd set of pics are much better.

Also, I think the first board could possibly be a filter, it looks about right for a discrete filter to me. Though I could be totally off Confused

Here's the pdf for that SMD chip:

http://www.datasheets.org.uk/Scans/Scans-003/Scans-0077657.html

It's a Russian KA528BR2 (or KA528БP2 in Cyrillic) - I ocr'd it then translated it with google: it's a BBD chip! heh.

I bet it's part of a chorus unit.

First I connected the "filter" board to power supply. I got 0,65volts from all blue outputs. I connected audio signal to one of them and pluged to amplifier the wires on the other side.. i got nothing. Am I doing stupid experiments ?

I also have this board... maybe thats an oscillator ? I found something about some chips, some of them were some kind of generators.
