Symbolic Sound Paca engine for sale

Included in this sale is the Paca with 2 processors and 1GB RAM, Kyma X software CD, "Kyma X Revealed" tutorial/manual and "Kyma and the SOS Disco Club" book. I will also include all the nescessary firewire cables and a MOTU Ultralite mk3 firewire interface. This interface is ideal for getting 8 simultaneous analog inputs and outputs from the Paca, as well as MIDI in/out.

Once the licence transfer has gone through, you can update to the latest Kyma 7 for free. Small future updates will be free, but major ones might not be.

The Paca and power supply are both in excellent condition and there have never been any problems with them whatsoever.

Can post within the UK and Europe at buyer's expense.

Transfer of licence will happen once the sale has gone through. This grants you free support from Symbolic Sound for life.

I am selling because I am simply not using it enough to justify keeping it.

Didn't sell yet no. But I'm not desperate either, just not using it a lot.

I guess one of Symbolic Sound's problems is that they're not keeping up with the times but rather going their own way. Kyma still sounds amazing without you having to put in a lot of effort though.

As you say it requires a huge amount of effort and time.

Heh well I said that it requires little effort but you're not wrong either...

What I meant is - once you're (finally) all set up to go, after a long startup process and update check procedures, and after much more time having learnt its strange and uncommon ways, it feels pretty quick to me. Laughing

It's faster than Max in order to get an idea fleshed out quickly for me currently. But I have spent much more time in Kyma than I have in Max/PD so I might be wrong. I must say I like Max a lot so far though.
